The District of Columbia recognizes many civil claims under its common law in addition to those mentioned elsewhere in this guide. Some examples include the following:
- Abuse of process;
- Conspiracy;
- Loss of consortium;
- Spoliation of evidence;
- Wrongful discharge;
- Wrongful eviction; and
- Wrongful foreclosure.
